About the Project
Late in 2021, TRENT Construction embarked on an extensive renovation project at Humberstone House, located in Leicester. This multi-story building, originally featuring open-plan design across several floors, presented an exciting challenge. Our task involved covering over 15,000 square feet across four of the seven floors.
The transformation necessitated significant retrofit construction, with a focus on creating walls to delineate new classrooms, board rooms, libraries, and an IT lab. It was a vast project that truly showcased our expertise in handling large-scale construction and renovation work.
Design considerations, types, and advantages
The primary focus was to transform the open spaces into functional, distinct rooms without compromising the building’s original aesthetics. The retrofit design had to be precise, ensuring optimal usage of space while catering to the diverse needs of an educational institution.
